We make specific claims about how these courses are built. Here is what those claims rest on.

This page exists for three reasons. Parents deserve to know whether "research-backed" means anything when we say it. Families using education savings accounts often need to document a curriculum's educational basis. And publishing our sources keeps us honest — if a technique isn't on this list, we shouldn't be claiming it.

We make specific claims about how SafeQuest courses are built. Here is what those claims rest on.

SafeQuest Academy isn't built around whichever educational theory happens to be newest.

We look for principles that have been tested, challenged, replicated independently, and supported by evidence from more than one direction.

Before a finding becomes part of how we design a course, we ask:

Has it had time to be challenged?

We favor established findings that have been tested repeatedly—not conclusions resting on a single new study.

Has it been replicated by people with no stake in it?

A result becomes more convincing when independent researchers can reproduce it.

Does the evidence hold up from more than one direction?

When behavioral research, cognitive science, developmental research, and where applicable neuroscience point toward the same conclusion, we pay attention.

That doesn't mean science is finished or that every child learns identically.

It means we want the structure of our courses resting on more than a trend.
