Nutrition Lab Ages 13-15
Every Nutrition Lab course opens with a safety page for parents — allergens named, kitchen and garden safety, and what to watch for. Read it before you begin.
Thirteen to fifteen is when the food advice arrives — in feeds, from friends, from people selling things.
This course is about telling a real claim from a good-sounding one.
There is no calorie counting, no body-composition talk and no eating plan in it.
That is deliberate.
Seven worksheets across three weeks.
What's inside :
· What A Label Actually Tells You — serving size first, because every other number depends on it, then the difference between total and added sugars
· The Front of the Packet Is Advertising — which words have legal definitions, and which mean nothing at all
· Where The Energy Actually Goes — what carbohydrate, protein and fat each do, without ranking them
· The Claim You Saw Online — they bring a real one and run four questions at it
· Eating Around a Long Day — testing timing on themselves, honestly
· When Food Advice Gets Strange — good advice adds things; advice that only ever takes things away is the warning sign
· My Plan — what they are actually going to do
**A note for parents: worksheet 6 is about food rules that get stricter over time, and it gives your teenager one sentence to use if that starts happening. The parent guide asks you to read that page before they do.
Every file is a PDF.
Fill them in on a computer or print them.
You get both editions — full color, and a print-friendly version that uses about half the ink.
Same words, same pages. Print whichever suits the day.
Every course includes a parent guide written for that age, and a short page on how to practice the material so it is still there next year.
One purchase covers your own family. Print as many copies as you need for your own children.
Two children at the same age level? One purchase is enough.
Two children at different age levels? Each age is genuinely different material.
Using an Arizona ESA? Place a separate order per student, so each receipt matches that child.
Prices shown are before tax. Any tax due is calculated at checkout.
